Alessandro,
Yes, I use a different profile for each paper...each paper with it's
own profile. I can say that using EVFA paper I can see slight
differences between using the EEM and EVFA profiles....however,
ImagePrint profiles will show variances even with the same paper and
1440 dpi and 2880 profiles. I haven't tried using the EVFA profile
with EEM.
If you are using the Randall Workflow, I assume you are printing
with PiezoTone inks. If so, you will get a higher Dmax using
PhotoRag than you will with EVFA or EEM. And with PiezoTone inks
Dmax will increase over a few days time on PhotoRag.
You asked about print life....this number has bounced around a bit.
The latest from Wilhelm is:
http://www.wilhelm-research.com/ep9600%20print%20permanence.html
here he rates EVFA with B&W printing using full-color Ultrachrome
inks at 115 years, and greater than 140 years if sprayed with
PremierArt spray.

because I print with curves (the excellent Randall workflow), and
therefore a different paper would mean tweaking the curves (unless
it takes the same profile).

Morrison talked about a 40 years longevity rating published by Epson
for this paper. If this is true, then we probably need to look
elsewhere for a true archival paper.
