If you're as picky as I am about NEUTRAL/stable/archival B/W prints with no color shifting or metamerism you're in for a bumpy ride because you're never going to get that without considering the quadtone systems (or some people say a RIP- but I wasn't convinced about that). Printing with black only is probably not getting you professional results. I'd decide the level of quality you need to deliver in your B/W prints and go from there by researching the archives on this forum. I'm using the MIS quadtone inks and getting, for the first time, beautiful B/W prints from my inkjet printer. Sue Tallon www.tallonphoto.com
