I'm printing some b/w portraits for a client, and there's still a hint of green in the image. I'm using Epson 960, Epson Colorlife paper, black ink only. On a Mac with 10.2.6. Any suggestions? TIA, Dennis Stein Digital Imaging Fine Art Photography Web Design

It will dry down a little over night. Colorlife takes longer to dry. Having said that - the epson black is slightly warm and the colorlife paper has a cast also - it may never look truly neutral. If you're as picky as I am about NEUTRAL/stable/archival B/W prints with no color shifting or metamerism you're in for a bumpy ride because you're never going to get that without considering the quadtone systems (or some people say a RIP- but I wasn't convinced about that). Printing with black only is probably not getting you professional results. I'd decide the level of quality you need to deliver in your B/W prints and go from there by researching the archives on this forum. I'm using the MIS quadtone inks and getting, for the first time, beautiful B/W prints from my inkjet printer. Sue Tallon www.tallonphoto.com

I'm using Imageprint, and it provides absolute control B&W tonality, including absolute neutral. But, it's not cheap.
