This is almost embarrasing to ask as it seems every one else knows how to do this : I wish to send a few BWs to have LightJet processed and they require an ICM profile. How do I do that ? Thanks, Alex

Alex, You've got your wires crossed somewhere. The folks that own the LightJet (service bureau) are suppose to provide YOU with an ICC profile of their device so that YOU can use the soft proof feature in Photoshop to make adjustments. The file you give them should be saved as a TIFF for example with the working space set to Adobe RGB 1998, or some other wide gamut color space. Also, your system (ie, your monitor) should be calibrated otherwise you will be wasting your time and money. I've made "BWs" (I assume you mean black & white prints) using the LightJet 5000 with good success using ICC profiles supplied by the service bureau. Are you going to use the Fuji Crystal Archive RA-4 print material, or the Monochrome Kodak material? I've used both. The Kodak material has a slight warm look and only has a matte finish. The Fuji material is somewhat cool looking and is available in matte and glossy surfaces. Hope this helps. Contact me off-list if you have any more questions. Best Regards, David R. Spielman
