I was fooling around with different coating techniques when I came up with this way to get a glossy surface on EEM. I airbrushed (coating rod may work too) a smooth generous coat of a Hydrocote/Flow Ayd mixture and dried it to the touch quickly with a hair dryer. Let the coating dry an additional 15 minutes or so and then put print on glass face up with a piece of typing paper (or poster paper if print is large) between it and the glass. With a rubber roller, roll on a sheet of waxed paper (the kind you get at the grocery store) covering the print. Roll hard making sure there are no wrinkles or bubbles, then immediately pull off waxed paper. Heat surface just a bit with hot air from the hair dryer again and you will have a nice glossy surface. Let dry normally. The gloss I got using Satin Hydrocote using this technique is the same as the surface of regular Epson Photo Paper. Haven't tried Glossy Hydrocote. I tried this identical technique except airbrushing to an "orange peel" surface consistancy before rolling and when done ended up with a surface like Epson Premium Luster.
