Hello Allesandro, >...it's not clear to me how the evaluated print was printed. I don't know either. That is the information exactly as provided in the exchange. I'm just passing it along. >I suspect, given that you say it's dotless, that Randall curves were used, but then I also see you rated the shadow detail as "poor, bordering on very poor", which I find hard to believe, as I get very good results with this workflow on the Tyler Zs test (although I use FS inks, not FSN, which may make a difference). >I am willing to submit a print, if you're interested, and if the fact that I'm in Italy isn't a problem (I have lots of bandwidth, though, so I could download the test image). This is exactly the reason I emphasized reading the text part, to understand what this is all about. The 'poor shadow detail' rating is not to imply that excellent results cannot be obtained. As was stated clearly in the article, all the systems are being used successfully. The review is not judging whether a system is any good or not. There is no need to send me a print to defend this system. As I said in my original message: "PLEASE read the text part of it to be sure and understand its purpose. This was not a normal print exchange and it would be easy to misinterpret the results." I think if you will go back and read the entire text carefully you'll see what I mean. I know it's a lot of verbiage, but I was trying real hard to explain it because I knew it would be easy to misunderstand.
