I just did and find that this is correct: using one of the IP grayscale profiles, the Black Point Monitor Compensation Slider works when you use an RGB file but not when you use a grayscale file, and the TintPicker seems to work as well. The trouble is how to get a proper preview in Photoshop when you're using an RGB file that you are going to print with an IP grayscale profile.
