This is mostly based on good reviews on computer magazines (after all you have to trust someone: what do you *personally* know about the food you eat? Mmh... well, okay, bad example, we all probably had better not know what we eat :-). All I know is that the system administrators in my company use Ad Aware, and that's enough for me.
