Digital BW, The Print

Looking at the prices refurbished 1280s are going for, I've been 
thinking it might worth getting one as a dedicated BW printer. I'd 
like to go the UT route with the printer, but I haven't heard much 
about what kind of results people are getting with Paul's curves. 
(OTH, I've heard a lot of good things about the UT curves on the 
1160.) Also, it seems like clogging can be a problem with the 1280 
and the UT inkset. Any advice or suggestions on which way to go would 
be appreciated. My other choice would be to get a 2200 and switch 
between color and the UT set (filling my own carts).
