As I stated in my message about 1280 UT black clogging I
disconnected the tube from the cartridge and using the
syringe I pushed clear water through it a few times.  It works,
and a problem is gone.  In my case the clog was adjacent
to the cartridge, so try first (using the syringe or blowing with
your mouth) removing clog blowing from the other end and
collecting the clog and some ink into the napkin or something.  
There is no need to change the tubing.

For the future:
print the purging image once every 2-3 weeks even if you
do not print anything.
