1160 cfs MIS sepia>neutral inkset I think I've established that my tubes are blocked (dried ink) after standing idle for some time. How can I free them up - maybe injecting windex from the bottle end ? Or, just replace the individual tubes or whole ribbon tube. I guess i can only get/wait for these from mis ? thanks Frank

Brfore spending extra money you could try removing the tubing and carefully passing a a long piece of metal wire down the tube to dislodge the blockage. This has worked for me in the past with no reoccuring problems. to pass a wire through a tube i'd have to remove or cut it off at the cfs cart - how do you get it back on ? By dipping the end in hot water to soften it ? Any precautions to take or issues with air in the lines/carts? ========================================================

As I stated in my message about 1280 UT black clogging I disconnected the tube from the cartridge and using the syringe I pushed clear water through it a few times. It works, and a problem is gone. In my case the clog was adjacent to the cartridge, so try first (using the syringe or blowing with your mouth) removing clog blowing from the other end and collecting the clog and some ink into the napkin or something. There is no need to change the tubing. For the future: print the purging image once every 2-3 weeks even if you do not print anything.
