Flash memory cards and magnetic media are unaffected by airport scanners. > Thanks. I am thinking on going digital on my next trip to Europe. Bring multiple flash cards at least. A visitor I just had here lost all 250 of his digital photos when the camera decided to corrupt the files on the card near the end of his trip. With mulitple cards (or frequent backups to a laptop or something), the potential loss is reduced. Personally, I prefer the quality of film, particularly if this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but that's up to you.
