At the risk of starting a Mac vs.PC holy war, are you nuts ?
Switching FROM Mac TO PC ?

For example, a lot of the great free software for doing B&W inkjet
printing (Quadtone RIP and OPM/IJC) only runs on Macs.

Maybe you have some other applications for which a PC makes more
sense - that's entirely possible - but for imaging/photography
it seems like a mistake to make that switch.
