John, I agree that we shouldn't start a Mac vs PC type thing, but I recently migrated to the PC platform for all my digital imaging needs primarily for two reasons: 1. Lack of printer driver support for older Epson printers (like the 1160), and slow to realize full functionality driver support for newer printers (like the 2200) under OS X (10.2.8). 2. It seemed that quite a few of my essential imaging tools were/are available only for the PC platform. Don't get me wrong...I love my Mac. I actually prefer, in general, the Mac user interface as compared to XP. And, it's a whole lot more fun to use! I know that Roy's QuadTone RIP provides quadtone printing functionality under OS X...I know that the Adobe's camera RAW plugin will allow me to convert my digital files (except for the Canon 10D; unless you patch it)...etc. These are not my preferred tools. No matter...I have both, now, and can use whichever I deem most appropriate. FWIW.
