I've been using the Entrada Fine Art 190 for the couple of weeks of running Septones in my 2200. It's a VERY white paper... whiter than Hahnemuhle Photo Rag. (I haven't seen Entrada Fine Art Natural.) "Flaking" is a problem with it. Wiping the sheet with a clean soft terry towel before printing helps significantly. I've tried brushing with a wide paint brush and a soft cotton T-shirt and the towel seems to have a better tack record ;-) I've used an anti-static brush with the polonium strip, and that worked too, but the towel is quicker because of the size difference. The Entrada Fine Art accepts good ol' Spotone quite readily, with much less "dot gain" (spreading) than Photo Rag. It also accepts pencil, which is a problem for Photo Rag. I haven't printed color on it yet, and haven't determined if it would accept retouching colors, but I'm guessing it would. "Flaking" aside, I like the Entrada, but it has a curious "hand," to me... the sensation that it's damp, and the "softer" 190 compared to the Photo Rag 308, gives it almost a velvet or fabric feel. _____________________________________________ Help end spam and telemarketing... never respond to it, even to "unsubscribe." ----- Original Message ----- From: Paul Roark To: DigitalB&WPrint Sent: Friday, October 10, 2003 1:27 AM Subject: [Digital BW] Moab Entrada paper I just printed some Moab Entrada Fine Art Natural 190. It is another cotton paper with no optical brighteners, and the price at Inkjetgoodies might make it about the most affordable cotton paper (now that Eclipse Satine is gone). ...snip...
