QTR: relinearizing an existing curve

2003-10-16 by David Wroblewski

Roy, could you confirm that this is the right procedure for
re-linearizing a curve that already has LINEAR="..." data,
such as the one Carl sent me this afternoon:

(1) Edit the .txt file and comment out the existing LINEARIZE="..."
line. Verify CALIBRATION=NO.

(2) Process and install the curve with quadprofile/quadcurves
scripts.

(3) Print out 21Step.tif using the curve of interest
with Output Mode=Quadtone Rip, *NOT* Quadtone Rip Calibration.

(4) Measure the patches and add result to the .txt file as a
LINEARIZE="..." data, then reprocess and install the result,

(5) Reprint 21Step.tif to make sure you got a sensible result.

Thanks,
David
