The 2200/2100 gives the best B&W images with Epson inks, since it has the
light black ink that the 1280/90 does not, and printed grayscales are better
out-of-the-box, and better still with custom profiles. However, if you use
3rd-party quad/hex/sept inks, then there is probably not much difference and
the inks for the 1280/90 will probably be cheaper because there are only two
cartridges instead of seven.

Does this mean you would prefer to use a 2200 over the 1280 for the B&W???
I am a bit confused as to which printer is better?
I\ufffdll go with which ever gives me the best image.
Just tell me which one?
