Jen, The Ultra Tone B&W inkset is the only "quad"/B&W pigment inkset that is RC/glossy paper compatible (when "Photo" black is used). The FS-N is only for matte paper. I just set up a MIS inkset for a 1280. I've had great sucess with the color set i have used on another 1280, and thought that the B&W set would be equally as nice, but so far i am getting bronzing in the blacks on Epson premium glossy. I'll admit, i have just started doing the researching to find out how to properly set up printing, but the main reason i wanted to set up this machine was i thought i could get deep blacks on glossy paper like the 1280 color (i have a 2200 for matte stuff already). I'm sure somewhere in the past there are posts here..i also read the info on MIS's website from Paul Roark but they say they are for Matte Papers, so i guess i'm asking for any advice or maybe just some points in the right direction. the ink is FSN-HEX-E, which is correct i believe. any advice is greatly appriciated!!!! jen Please visit the Group Homepage to check the Files, Bookmarks, Polls and other resources as they are often being updated.
