Steadman, I know you're kidding, but honestly, I *do* feel differently when I'm printing on single sheets than when I'm using roll paper. I like the whole process of walking over there and separating the interleaving sheets from the printing paper each time, and then force-feeding into the 7000. When I use rolls, it feels like I'm "a company". Or a service bureau. It's a different feeling. I kinda feel like I'm cheating when i use roll paper. It seems almost silly to mention it, but when I saw that ad in Lenswork about "Hand pulled Gravures" I thought the same thing -- I thought, "Well, hell, I hand-pull my inkjet prints just like this guy does. But the word for my process just isn't as romantic-sounding as his". And even sillier to mention is the sheer fact that in the art/gallery world, some of these linguistic things probably have an actual impact. And so, to me, the sooner that we all can alter this connotation about inkjet, the better off we'll all be.
