Re: [Digital BW] QTR, GIMP-PRINT resolution

Carl

Thanks, I actually ordered the UT grey carts a couple
days ago, my thinking is to use those in conjunction
with Epson black and the UC colors for any toning. I
figure the more OEM I can use, the less chance for
problems and the less cartridges to change out. I
print a lot of color too so that is a mild concern.
Here is my question: I use QTR version 2 beta 8, is
that the one with the dot weighing corrections or is
it something you integrated into your curves? I was
thinking I would use your curves as a starting place
to tune and linearize my printer and paper combo if
that's where the dot weighing comes in. I am still
kinda sussing out QTR so pardon me if this sounds
stupid.

(By the way I used your basic EEM OEM curves last
night on the Entrada Natural 300 paper and the Premier
Fine Art paper just to get an idea of what these
papers offered and I got very promising results. The
Entrada is nice but the Premier looks great. I see no
reason for people to buy a RIP when QTR works this
well with OEM ink.)

Thanks
