Great images!! I also agree about the load time and I use DSL here in the
UK. I don¹t know anything about web page development but is there a way to
have the site load in two (or more) parts? Even for us broadband users if
the opening image were to appear immediately while, say, the first 50%
loaded it would at least help with people¹s patience. Once the first 50%
has been loaded ³Enter² could appear, clicking on which could start the next
50% (or the other 50% could continue loading in the background). I would
also change the opening image to something that better whets the appetite to
hang in there. Doesn¹t help with the narrowband viewers but I do think for
the broadband people what you have done is great once they get there.
Perhaps the initial page could act as a gateway for narrowband or broadband
users the narrowband getting a significantly more straightforward (and I
guess, boring) site.

Cheers

Steve

Mike,

I also enjoyed your images on the website. But I have to agree the
load time is excessive. With my DSL it took about 30 seconds during
which there's a black screen. I don't think you get anyone with a
telephone connection to see your work.

Developing with a fast system makes it hard to see what others will
see. I started my website back when I had a 33k modem so speed
was of utmost importance. Now it could probably stand some
spiffing up though.

Nice images though.
