Im puzzled at your problem with PS 7. I'm currently operating with XP pro, PS7 and have had no problems in continuing to work the next print in PS while my 1280 is printing a 13x19 print. I checked my printer settings and find no special setting that I have consciously made. Sorry I can't shed any light on your mystery.

  up as a print server. He's running Win 2000 Pro). On the Mac you 
  can get right back to work in PS as soon as spooling is done,
