I ran into this on Linux with my Epson 860. My problem was this: I was using the "normal" PPD Epson 860 file that came with the Operating System -- not the "special" Epson 860 PPD file that came with QTR. I'm not exactly sure what I did wrong during the installation process, but manually copying the PPD file from the QTR installation place to the OS's PPD place fixed me right up.
