Another Quadtone RIP 'newbie' question during setup of ink file

Another Quadtone RIP 'newbie' question during setup of ink file

2003-11-12 by Dr. Robert Young

I know that several people here use this software, so hopefully this will ring a
bell with a current user. Here is my "impass"... Printer, etc has been added.
When using the sample 2200 ink descriptor ( after changing the printer name
and curve name and giving it a different filename), I drag it to the terminal
window of Run-Quad-Profile , and then I get this...

240 94% | k K
245 96% | k K
250 98% | k K
255 100% | K
QuadTone Curve "EEM_2200-warm_rcy"
Error: "/private/etc/cups/ppd/Stylus_Photo_2200_Quadtone.ppd" missing
quadtone curve entries

File referred above does exist in stated location.

I am just now trying to install/setup the software, so I am 99.99% sure I am
overlooking smething terribly simple and obvious. Already ran "protection
repair" in case that comes to mind. Any suggestions?

Running OS/X 10.2.8

I ran into this on Linux with my Epson 860. My problem was this: I was
using the "normal" PPD Epson 860 file that came with the Operating System
-- not the "special" Epson 860 PPD file that came with QTR. I'm not
exactly sure what I did wrong during the installation process, but manually
copying the PPD file from the QTR installation place to the OS's PPD place
fixed me right up.

Cockpit error on my part. Had selected the "wrong" driver similar to what you
experienced. It is now running.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
