It is a very good product. Before I used selective sharpening with PS
unsharp mask and the history brush, but Photokit sharpener is much more
convenient, and more sharpening options also. Photkit ($50) is also very
good -- saves a lot of time. The only drawbacks to either that I have seen
are (a) required 8-bit files (I'm using PS7) and (b) large files at that.
Lately I've been trying to get comfortable with 35mm. 16-bit scans are only
around 120mb, but even when converted to 8-bit, when working with Photokit
sharpener and Photokit the working files are way over one gb. Try it, you'll
like it. I use it mostly with Portra 400, a 400 more or less b&W dye film.
(If the Photokit sharpener enhances some noise with the dye clouds, say in
sky areas, you can get rid of it with NeatImage. Hope this helps.

Subject: [Digital BW] PhotoKit sharpener
Has anyone bought the pixel genius PhotoKit Sharpener? How good is it
with B&W scanned 35mm 400 ISO? Thanks for any info.
