I have the 2450 scanner and used the Epson software for a while. It works fine so long as you figure out how to turn all the auto settings off. I liked the auto batch framing feature even though it was a little aggressive on the cropping... somehow it got screwed up when I added a second scanner and VueScan... so I haven't used it for a while.
