I'm wondering about a new monitor too, and the most interesting reference I've found on the subject is a Seybold 2002 White Paper on the 21-inch Sony Artisan CRT. It's available by going to http://displaysbysony.com/display/model.jsp?pModelId=577 clicking on the link to the Artisan micro site, choosing "TOUCH", and then clicking on the White Paper's link (top right). The Artisan comes with both the hardware and the software for profiling it. And anyone who already has profiling resources with which they're satisfied might consider instead Sony's other upscale 21-inch CRT, the GDM F520, which Sony shows at: http://displaysbysony.com/display/model.jsp?pType=&pCode=&pModelId=558 For the past four years, I've been very happy with its 19-inch uncle, the F420, now discontinued. Nevertheless, when I get a new Mac, I think I might get an Apple Cinema LCD display to go with it. Sam >This is obviously off topic but I thought i could get some expert >opinions from the group.
