Rick: I'm very happy with my LCD at home. Now I'm doing almost exclusively b&w for photo work but it's a low end Samsung and seems to meet all my needs. My only calibration was a contrast and brightness adjustment done by eyeball to match my prints. I have a real estate issue in my home office (too many scanners & printers) thus making the LCD very practical. I do think if I had unlimted desk space that I might consider a CRT. But to get the screen size I wanted an LCD was the only option. At least it works well.
