Digital BW, The Print

.....isn't that the really interesting question, since almost all of 
us here use their printers? Or is it blatantly obvious they're not?

Because if they are, with all the discussion centred on black and 
grey inksets, wouldn't it make sense for them to come up with an 
Ultrachrome black and grey inkset for the 2100/2200,7600 and 9600? 
Sure, it would need a major re-write of the drivers, but since Paul 
and others have generously provided adjustment curves for free, 
couldn't they download that and incorporate it into their driver, 
without re-inventing the wheel? 

At the very least, wouldn't a 'black and light black only' print 
setting be popular to complement the black only print setting? How 
dfficult is that?
