The 2000 with Epson inks suffer from the worse metraisum and I would not use Epson inks in this printer. Here's links to see the dot comparison of six ink Epsons side by side: http://www.silverace.com/dottyspotty/issue93.jpg As you can see the 870 and 780 Epsons are touch smoother than the 2000. BUT...when compared to the 1160 the 2000 is so much smoother: http://www.silverace.com/dottyspotty/issue92.jpg But I'm getting beautiful dot free smooth prints from my 1160s with Piezotones and QTR. If I didn't have two 1160s and two 1200s I would by a 2000. John V.
