it DOES make a nice machine for B&W with the MIS FSE five greys and Generations 4 Black. Browse the posts over the past week re: 'Epson Genius ...' I have spent many hours tweaking a curve to optimize these inks with my 2000P. It is a PictureWindows Tint curve. You also need, as I just found out, to test the Cyan and Magenta nozzle sets and select the one with the least microbanding - if any, and then install the inks accordingly. If anyone wishes to try, here is the Tint curve for the Cyan set. Install the greys as in my previous posting... There is nearly an hour of effort for every ascii character. And maybe a few tweaks still left, but it works pretty well. Perhaps a team effort can finish it....... It will print a 100 step greyscale without reversals and with visible gradients in each.
