In the end you are the only one that can answer those questions.  But, you must make prints before you can really evaluate those questions.  In this regard printing on an inkjet is just like the darkroom:  the best learning aid you can have is a large trash can, and the willingness to fill it up.  PRINT! PRINT! PRINT!
