The best method to get replies shorter is by putting your answer
underneath the original. First because writing at the bottom
usually means you have actually seen the length of the original
message, second because the chance you actually read the message
is higher so your answer is more to the point, third you weed
more unrelevent text out because your ego doesn't like to be
buried underneath all that text. The longer the thread the better
it works. The most satisfying reply in a thread is the one that
ends the thread. That doesn't mean it has to be the smartest
reply, an extremely stupid one can work as well ........
