With medium format I was a big fan of the old Pan-X. A great film. You could get large format quality with a medium format camera. I think that Kodak put a bunch of bucks in T-max hoping they could only produce two files T-max 100 and T-max 400, but some how Tri-X is still the largest seller. I suspect you are right they are looking to consolidate the B&W and even color films to a few options.
