Do I have to change both front end and back end? I'm not a color expert and hardly ever do it, but here's the little bit I've noticed. The color image will be in RGB mode, so it's front end will be different (whatever is the apps default color setting). The back end will still be Same As Source. All that needs to be done is to uncheck "Black Ink Only". All these settings can be saved to make it easier to switch from one to another. Beyond that, color management is a vast subject of which I know little. For a good book I recommend "Real World Photoshop".
