Mitch: Split Channels tutorial, most helpful, am grateful, thank you.

2003-12-08 by Julio Fernandez

Mitch: Understand your feelings. You are indeed under no obligation to do
all this for us and I am grateful that you were so generous to share your
knowledge. I did get the tutorial via the Canon DS10 group. In the past I
had no trouble with split links but this time they would not work for me for
some reason when I copied the whole three lines in sequence to the URL
address in IE. When after trying them several times nothing worked, I tried
substituting what I guessed may have been lost at the ends in the splitting
but to no avail. While at the Canon DS10 sight I downloaded the split
channels and your other tutorials. I am looking forward to studying them
avidly as I find your writing crisp and clear and your ideas truly
excellent. I was really in the dark about converting to B&W and I count
myself lucky to have come across your tutorials, thanks again.
PS: Perhaps what some of us needed in addition is a tutorial on split links.

Subject: Re: Split Channels Method for Converting to B&W Tutorial

I'm done trying to help.

The old Chinese adage is correct. My good deed is definitely giving
me lots of punishment and abuse right now. :(

The document is where I posted the URL. Lots of people have
downloaded it.

Join the group, if you want to view the PDF. Goodness, you already
have a Yahoo! Groups account. So adding another group, even for a
few seconds to get the document is no big deal! ;)

I try to do this group a service, and most of what I hear is whining
about the URL being too long, being told the file is not there
(which it definitely is), etc.

I will not post my tutorials here or in other groups. When I sell
it, I will have to pull it off the Web. In the interim, it will stay
on sites under my control. It's my intellectual property. ;)

I have e-mailed it or offered to e-mail to about a dozen people. I
think I've done quite a bit to share information.

Enough of the complaining and whining, please.

In fact, I'm unsubscribing. The culture of this group is too bitchy
and whiney for my tastes. I prefer groups where people are more
appreciative.>>

Au revoir,

Mitch
