Digital BW, The Print

Yes.  Only two colors, not all of the colors are used in b&w.  The ones that are used are in relatively small quantities.  Even so, the use of colored inks at all, in any inkset, has to affect longivity, when compared to pure carbon.

For B&W prints, even using the gray profile at neutral, I believe cyan
and magenta is used (LC, C, LM, M? I do not know). At least those are
the dots that I can see with a magnifying glass.
