Re: [Digital BW] UT-inks in exchange for VMs on the same printer?

this may apply to you.
i have an epson 1200 that had OEM dyes in it, then i
switched to VM-no problem. Then I had to store the
printer for a couple months will I did some messy
house rennovation. Then I put OEM dye color carts in
to make sure everything was okay-it was. Then I
installed and MIS CIS system with UTs and everything
works great. Just a couple o' purge prints and blammo,
everything works.

UT is better than VM. More lightfast, prints smoother.
I have used the VM curves with UTs and it pretty much
worked fine. But most of my printing uses QTR to drive
my printer. MIS has a good tutorial on how to tweek
curves if you wnt to go that route, it is in their
news section.

hope that helps a little
