Epson 2000P and UT workflow?

Has anyone developed a solid Epson 2000P and Ultratone ink workflow? I've tried to 
adapting Paul Roark's 1280 curves and have even tried creating custom QuadToneRip 
curves ... but have remained dissatisfied with the results. Anyone having success with 
this combination? Should I just give up and by a 1280?
