The eye one package comes with a photospectrometer. the profile maker pro software does not have a hardware measurement device. If you already have an eye one photo package the profile maker package will add CMYK profiling, a profile editor, scanner profiling and the ability (for extra money) to profile digital cameras. If the CMYK and scanner stuff are appealing to existing eye-one users then this is a super deal. It would be interesting to see what tools some of the people who do curves etc. use in that process. Chromix sells it for $1399: http://tinyurl.com/zml5 I'm bewildered by the dizzying array of products GretagMacbeth now offers for profiling. My question is simply this: is the ProfileMaker package at this price a better deal than their EyeOne Photo package at roughly the same price: http://tinyurl.com/zml0 What are the differences between these two packages?
