I read the other day in the Washington Post that because of the massive number of copyrights being filed and the issues associated with the digital music (which an appellate court has just made more muddy) that congress is going to take another look at the copyright laws this session. In the article some legal "scholars" were interviewed to say that congress went overboard to the point that current law is almost unenforceable and they would most likely back track in a new law.
