One thing I've noticed with UT2 is that it is relatively unaffected by paper type. Different papers can print with different tones, but I'm not seeing the flat spots we used to see. I think it is the lack of a very light ink, and the very good and mild Epson driver cross-overs. Yesterday morning I had this speech where I wanted to have a sample of a 1280 split tone. At the last minute it occurred to me that I had Photo K in the 1280 and my only curves were for matte papers. So, I just used the EEM curves on the Semigloss. They worked fine as is. I'll find specific driver slider settings and make specific curves for the Semigloss eventually, but I was amazed at how well those that worked for EEM also worked for Premium Semigloss. As for the sliders, EEM prints slightly warm with no sliders, HWM, 1440 HS, Color Controls Auto or Vivid. For neutral, try Vivid, C +7, & M -5. For medium warm, try Vivid, Y +25, M +10, & C -15. I also have curves available, but I'm not sure they are posted anywhere yet. When using the curves, the settings include: "Photo paper" media type, Adobe RGB, No Color Adjustment, 1440 slow, and 16 bit for the strong, "sepia 2" curve. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
