Thanks Steve. 1.6b is for the 2100 (i.e. UK/European model). I wonder if it would work on the 2200, but since the Print Setup Utility/Print Center routine is so simple, I think I'll not fix what's not broken. It could also be the USB vs. Firewire. I've found that most printing problems can be solved by turning on and off Printer Sharing in the Preferences Panel - one less thing to download - though I've heard that Print Setup Repair can be a lifesaver.
