Forget about inches, except when it's time to print. Scan at the natural resolution of the scanner, which I believe is 4000ppi. (That's not a huge number of pixels when the piece of film is only 1x1.5") Also, with the 2200 you should print at 2880, to avoid microbanding in the print. -- Ciao, Paul D.
