Digital BW, The Print

Lately I have encountered some flaking on some of my prints done on
Epson Watercolor paper.  what do you gurus do to combat flaking
problems on your fine art type papers?  Kind of a bummer making a nice
print and then having a few tiny pieces of it fall off!!!!
