Re: [Digital BW] Re: BO printing on epson 2100 (2200)

Hi,

     Can hardly believe my eyes.

What is wrong with MIS, InkjetMall, Lyson etc selling inks which
violate the warrany of Epson printers?. Why should they not be able
to do so. Many people have Epson printers working long after the
warranty has expired. Would your peculiar thinking deprive them of the
right to use any ink they feel like?.

Many people might like to use those inks even if it voids the Epson
warranty. Perhaps the inks will give them some effect they
particularly desire. Perhaps they prefer to use the products even if it
voids their warranty. Would you deprive them of their right to do so?.

On the other hand I think Epson is perfectly within its right to insist
that for their warranty to be honoured you must use only Epson Inks. Epson
papers, and Epson anything else. They cannot possibly warranty any
combination of any products that anybody, anywhere might dream up.

It boils down to common sense and caution. If you want to stray from the
path required by your warranty, research, ask, read, etc. etc. and take the
risk if you consider it worthwhile.

Jurisprudence. My foot !!! . As always: Caveat Emptor. Buyer beware.

We already have enough legal garbage and litigatory excess here. This
country, as far as I am concerned, is rapidly turning into one of the
lawyers, by the lawyers and for the lawyers. All the rest of us just to
shut up, pay and do what is allowed us.

        Best Alex
