Hi, I have now an 1160 since 2 months and it seems indeed a good printer for b&w prints with archival ink. Being given that the 1160 is out of production since a moment already I wonder whether it wouldn´t be a good idea to buy a "backup" for day X when my first will stop working. Here in Germany it can still be found at a rather low price. Or would the 1290 be a better alternative, specially when using MIS inks. BTW, I still haven´t found out if the german model "1290" isn´t sold as "1280" in the US. At least I never saw a 1270/ 80 here. Greetings Bernhard
