We have four Rotatrims in our finishing area. All are used heavily by
students. Other than blade changes we have had no problems. In addition,
I can think of two more reasons for the rotary cutter: the ability to
make a hair-thin cut (the guillotine style cutters don't like to do
that) and it's really tough to cut your finger on a Rotatrim.

Same here.  For photo paper cutting the RotoTrim sets the standard. 
They are well built.  I'm using one over 10 years now & still going
strong.
