Digital BW, The Print

Are you using a CFS system? I've struggled with similar problems using 
other MIS systems, and have discovered that doing the following seems 
to fix the problem:

1) Suck out the foamy buildup from your cartridges using the bottom 
ink extraction technique described on the MIS Web site. It's easier 
than it sounds.

2) Ensure that you have a siphon break by taking the ends fo the tubes 
out of the ink bottles and printing a purge chart until the tube is 
empty, re-inser the tube into the ink. This creates an air gap that 
prevents the ink from flowing too quicly into the print head, which 
would cause the overspray and even ink dripping.

Hope this helps. I plan to do the above every 6 months or so as 
preventative maintainance.

after 3 or 5 inches of printing of an 11x14 image the some color
