You probably know this, but you could zip up all those files into one 
ZIP file... clicking that file should prompt the user with a "Save to" 
dialog box.

Otherwise, you'll have to notify your server administrator that you have 
a new MIME type with a unique file extension (.acv)... he (or she) will 
then have to configure the server to treat files with that extension as 
a downloadable only.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
